NetVendor SMS Terms
These SMS Terms supplement and are incorporated into the NetVendor Privacy Policy and any Service Schedule, Order Form, Subscription Agreement, or Master Services Agreement signed by you (or your employer) and NetVendor (each, an “Order”). If there is a conflict between these SMS Terms and any Order on a matter specific to SMS, these SMS Terms control for that matter.
1. Our SMS Programs
NetVendor operates the SMS programs described below. Each program is separate and independent. Each program requires its own opt-in. Consenting to one program does not constitute consent to any other program.
1.1 Customer Care SMS
- Purpose: Two-way conversational support — replies, troubleshooting, and follow-up from our customer support team in response to inquiries you initiate.
- Eligible products: Available to users of NetVendor Maintenance, NetVendor Compliance, and the bidding and sourcing modules.
- Message types: Replies from support agents, automated acknowledgments, and case status updates related to a support request you initiated.
- Message frequency: Varies based on your support inquiries.
- How to opt in: You may opt in to Customer Care SMS by any of the following methods:
- By text: Initiate a conversation with our support team via SMS at the number listed on the applicable support page (Maintenance Support, Compliance / Vendor Support, or Bidding Support).
- By web form: Submit your phone number through the Customer Care opt-in form on our website and check the box agreeing to receive Customer Care text messages from NetVendor.
- By phone (IVR): When you call our customer support phone line, press the key indicated by the Interactive Voice Response (IVR) system when prompted to confirm your consent to receive Customer Care text messages from NetVendor regarding your support inquiry. The IVR prompt will disclose the message frequency, message and data rates notice, and how to get help or opt out before you press the key.
1.2 Maintenance App Notifications
- Purpose: Transactional account and service notifications related to your use of NetVendor Maintenance.
- Message types: Account alerts, security notifications, work order or job assignment notifications, dispatch updates, transaction confirmations, service status updates, and other operational notifications tied to your Maintenance account activity.
- Message frequency: Varies based on your account activity.
- How to opt in: Enable SMS notifications within your NetVendor Maintenance account settings and confirm your mobile number.
1.3 Compliance App Notifications
- Purpose: Transactional account, vendor enrollment, and compliance status notifications related to your use of NetVendor Compliance.
- Message types: Account alerts, security notifications, vendor enrollment status updates, document expiration reminders, compliance verification updates, work bid invitations, and other operational notifications tied to your Compliance account activity.
- Message frequency: Varies based on your account activity.
- How to opt in: Enable SMS notifications within your NetVendor Compliance account settings and confirm your mobile number.
1.4 Resident Notifications
- Who this is for: Residents of properties managed by NetVendor Subscribers.
- On whose behalf: Resident Notifications messages are sent by NetVendor on behalf of the property manager that provides services to your property. Your property manager has authorized NetVendor to operate this program. The property manager is the source of the underlying relationship; NetVendor is the platform delivering the messages.
- Purpose: Work order status updates regarding the unit you reside in — for example, scheduled service times, technician arrival notifications, completion confirmations, follow-up requests, and a one-time satisfaction survey after each completed work order.
- Message types: Work order status updates and, after each completed work order, a single satisfaction survey message containing a link to a brief survey hosted on a NetVendor-owned domain. Resident Notifications are not used for marketing, promotional content, rent collection, lease matters, or any purpose other than work order updates and the related satisfaction survey.
- Message frequency: Varies based on the work order activity at your unit. Typically one to several messages per work order, including status updates and a one-time satisfaction survey on completion.
- How to opt in: Submit your mobile phone number through the Resident Notifications opt-in form provided by your property manager (typically available on the property manager’s website or via a link at the bottom of work-order-related emails sent by NetVendor on the property manager’s behalf). The form will require you to affirmatively check a box consenting to receive Resident Notifications text messages from NetVendor on behalf of your property manager. Clicking the email link alone does not constitute consent — you must complete and submit the opt-in form.
- What is shared: Your phone number and opt-in status are shared with your property manager, which is the entity on whose behalf the messages are sent. Messages and opt-out events are also visible to your property manager. Phone numbers and opt-in data are not shared with any other third party for marketing purposes.
1.5 Future Programs
We may add additional SMS programs in the future. Any new program will require its own separate opt-in and will not draw on consent collected for the programs above.
2. Consent
By opting in to a program above, you confirm that:
- You are the subscriber or customary user of the mobile phone number you provided;
- You consent to receive text messages from NetVendor for the specific program you opted in to, sent using automated technology;
- Your consent is not a condition of any purchase or of your continued use of NetVendor Maintenance or NetVendor Compliance;
- You agree to these SMS Terms and to the NetVendor Privacy Policy; and
- You are at least 18 years old and a U.S. resident using a U.S.-based mobile phone number.
3. Costs
Message and data rates may apply. Your mobile carrier may charge you for sending and receiving text messages depending on your wireless plan. NetVendor is not responsible for any such charges. Contact your wireless carrier for details about your plan.
4. Opting Out (STOP)
You can opt out of any of our SMS programs at any time.
4.1 Per-Program Opt-Out
Because each program operates independently, replying STOP to a message will only opt you out of the specific program from which that message was sent. For example:
- Replying STOP to a Customer Care SMS message ends Customer Care messages only; it does not affect Maintenance App Notifications, Compliance App Notifications, or Resident Notifications.
- Replying STOP to a Maintenance App Notification ends Maintenance App Notifications only.
- Replying STOP to a Resident Notification ends Resident Notifications for the property you opted in for; if you have opted in to Resident Notifications for multiple units or properties, you will need to reply STOP to messages from each.
After you opt out of a program, we will send you one final confirmation message for that program, and you will not receive further messages from that program unless you opt back in.
4.2 Opting Out of All NetVendor SMS Programs
To opt out of all NetVendor SMS programs at once, you can:
- Reply STOP separately to a message from each program you are enrolled in.
- Email us at [email protected] with the subject line “Unsubscribe All SMS” from the email address associated with your account
4.3 Re-Subscribing
If you opt out, you can re-subscribe at any time by completing the opt-in process for that program again.
5. Help (HELP)
For help with any of our SMS programs, reply HELP to any message from that program, or contact us at:
- Maintenance Support: [email protected]
- Compliance / Vendor Support: [email protected]
- Bidding Support: [email protected]
- Resident Notifications: Contact your property manager directly for questions about work orders or your tenancy.
- Phone: 503-922-1111

6. Delivery
We do not guarantee that messages will be delivered, and we are not responsible for delayed or undelivered messages. Delivery depends on factors outside our control, including your wireless carrier, device, and signal coverage.
7. Supported Carriers
Our SMS programs are supported on most major U.S. wireless carriers, including AT&T, T-Mobile, Verizon Wireless, U.S. Cellular, and others. Carriers are not liable for delayed or undelivered messages.
8. Privacy and Data Sharing
Your mobile phone number, opt-in status, and the contents of messages you exchange with us are handled in accordance with the NetVendor Privacy Policy.
No mobile information is shared with third parties or affiliates for marketing or promotional purposes. Phone numbers, SMS opt-in data, and SMS message content may be shared only with service providers (such as our SMS aggregator and the underlying mobile carriers) strictly as necessary to deliver the SMS programs you have opted in to.
9. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of majority in your jurisdiction, to opt in to our SMS programs. The programs are available only to residents of the United States using U.S.-based mobile phone numbers.
10. Changes to These SMS Terms
We may update these SMS Terms from time to time. The “Last Updated” date at the top of this page will reflect the most recent version. If we make material changes, we will notify enrolled subscribers via SMS or email before the changes take effect. Your continued participation in a program after the effective date of any change constitutes acceptance of the updated SMS Terms.
